This server (the DVIRC) is the offical IRC of the Dextroverse [DV].
The channel #dextroverse is the main chat for the Dextroverse.
To list IRC staff currently online, use the /ircops command.
For IRC administrator info, use the /admin command.
Our current operators are denoted by either a @, &, or ~ prefix in the
channel #dextroverse and our half-operators (or 'hops') are
denoted by the prefix %. Operators will display the following line:

to register your nickname type:
/nickserv register

address ( remove all < and > symbols) as without this, there is
no way to reclaim your nickname should you forget your password.
As of February 2012, all new registrations now require your true email
address as registrations will need to be authenticated through it.

Sometimes we may disable nickname registration. If you get returned
the following message:
-NickServ- Unknown command register. Type /msg NickServ HELP for help
This means that registration is currently disabled.
Should you desire a nickname that has already been registered by
someone else, please query one of the administrators to see if
your desired nickname can be dropped due to the inactivity of the
original owner after which you would be able to register it.
Contact an admin initiate this process and please be advised,
this is purely on a case-by-case basis.
