I don't see why they need to restrict DXM sales. Why not combat the teen drug abuse problem at its source, the teens, instead of making it more of a pain in the ass for people to get relief from a common cough? The drug isnt the problem, its the retards who don't know how to use it the right way and in turn attract unwanted attention.

I always thought that the characteristic of the voting nature of this country was to vote for a person you support. I myself really enjoy the freedom to buy and consume DXM, why should this not affect my vote?

If this same thing were to happen back in the 60s with weed, do you think all of the potheads would have considered more of the other socioeconomic standpoints of the running candidates? I tend to doubt it.

A single thing I disagree with can and will affect the way I vote. Although I do agree with you on one point; From a logical viewpoint, there are bigger issues that Obama or his other running mates could tackle that make this issue seem entirely irrelevant. However, our contry has bigger problems than its drug abusing teenage community. Why try and tackle a moot point?

They are saying DXM may be treated the same as pseudo ephedrine is, which is NOT GOOD for DXM users. I dont think this is a big deal as DXM is the best cough suppressant on the market. If anything, it will be moved behind the counter with an 18 age limit. No need for more than that IMO.


and to the other people who replied to my post, I hate polotics and my vote for obama means nothing. Its not like any of us have any control. the government does what it wants, and theres really nothing we can do except hope that they become enlightened in some way and see the truth.
