I have only a basic knowledge of chemistry and it's wonderful subtleties. I very recently suffered a discouraging loss as I after much work I came to the realization that the ammonia I ruined all my dxm with has surfactants in it. I was had an idea that perhaps I could use urine instead of ammonia bought from a store for the initial separation of dxm from the cough syrup. I am all too eager to find an answer and I'm very much hoping that someone here could be of assistance.

I've been using DXM recreationally for many years now, and am tired of gel caps and syrups and have no interest in doing either anymore. Honestly I don't know why I never tried extraction before, as it seems very simple. However I am having several problems which I've concluded is because of the ammonia.

I've seen the guides on this site and they are very helpful, I was very excited to get this project done and have a wonderful clean trip but I am discouraged, and broken-hearted.
