Do Nots: *Do not use the DVIRC in any way to sell or distribute (including sending as a gift) any drugs (over the counter, prescription, or illicit), drug-containing substances (such as psychoative-containing flora), and/or any drug synthesis precursors. This server ^Bis not^B to be used as a conduit to transfer drugs between its users. *Do not discuss any supplier of the following substances be they independent or commercial. In addition, do not explicitly or implicitly discuss the pricing of these following substances. **Forbidden chemicals/substances/constituents/etc.: ***Illegally-obtained or manufactured scheduled drugs (a.e. MDMA, 2C-B, Heroin, Cocaine, etc.) ***Illegal psychoactive-containing flora, fungi, etc. (a.e. marijuana, San Pedro cacti, psilocybin-containing mushrooms, etc.) ***Any chemical which falls under the Analog Act, most notably pertains to "research chemicals" (a.e. 2C-E, 5-MeO-DMT, JWH-019, etc.) ***Legal chemicals that are in a non-OTC form (a.e. DXM powder, other manufacturer-direct chemicals, etc.) **Note that in using the word illegal, this is referring to both United States of America federal law and/or any state laws. A prime example of this would be salvia - the first day that salvia was illegalized in whatever state, so too would it become forbidden to discuss its pricing or sources. *Do not use DVIRC to chat about torrents or warez, there are tons of IRC channels on other networks for this type of discussion. *Do not flood the server, network, users, operators, or channels or otherwise attempt to disrupt normal server or user operation. *Do not spam users or channels. *Do not harass users or operators. **Threatening physical violence, evading an ignore command set by another user, and excessively mentioning/flaming/bringing up another user with no just cause are all considered forms of harassment. **The definition of harassment is ultimately up to the operators' collective judgment on a case-by-case basis. **When concerning harassment, private message logs may be used against you without your consent to release them. *Do not attempt to gain unauthorized network, server, or channel privileges. *Do not evade a ban issued for you. If you have a question about your ban, make a post in Talk to the IRC Staff forums. **Each evasion will incur additional time added to the original ban. *Do not link to any site which contains images, video, or any other media of a pornographic nature in our main channel, #dextroverse. This IRC server is accessible to those under the age of majority and thus we ask that users not share links to sites bearing nudity, sexual acts, etc. **While members are permitted to share links leading to personal photos, the rule regarding nudity applies to these as well. Topless females do fall under the category of nudity. Additionally, in the case that clarification is necessary, any individual who identifies as female will be treated as female and thus, the sharing of topless photos of said individual(s) will not be permitted in the main channel, #dextroverse. *Do not discuss, encourage, or threaten suicidal ideations, actions, or gestures of ^Bany kind^B. **Violation of this rule may lead to very severe consequences and repeat offenders may quickly find themselves with incredibly lengthy (and if necessary, permanant) server bans. *Do not encourage drug dosages, combinations, and/or any experimentation which would be considered unsafe. Please remember that this server is centered around the concept of ^_harm reduction^_. While encouraging drug use is not prohibited, all users who choose to do so are expected to not encourage anything which has a more-than-significant chance of harming the individual who is receiving said 'encouragement'. *Do not include more than a single "drug tag" in your nickname (a.k.a. user handle). *Do not include tags in your nickname which imply or directly reference multiple drugs/combinations. *Do not include the amount or dosage of any substance(s) in your nickname. **Examples of legal and illegal "tagged" nicknames: ***Example: DexFiend is now known as DexFiend|DXM. <-- ^]Legal^] ***Example2: DexFiend is now known as DexFiend|DXM|Ketamine <-- ^]Illegal^] ***Example3: DexFiend is now known as DexFiend|354mgDXM <-- ^]Illegal^] What we expect of you: *We expect each user to have one, and no more than one, connection to the server at any given time. **If you insist on connecting through both a land and mobile connection, please exit one connection before establishing another. **If there are multiple users using a single IP address, we do allow up to three connections per IP address. **There is a hard limit of three connections per IP set on the server. *We expect you to connect from the same or similar IP or host range **We actively check for users connecting via socks, tor, and other proxying mechanisms and remove and ban users we find utilizing these services. **If you legitimately connect to DVIRC from several isps, make sure to add them to your nickserv access list to avoid confusion. **If you are concerned with privacy, there are many commercial providers of irc shell accounts that can bounce your irc session via a server to mask your entire IP address. *We expect these server rules to be enforced within all channels but otherwise leave channel rules to be defined by the channel founder and operators thereof. **The server admins and operators are not interested in channel disputes that do not involve server rules. What you should expect of our use of your information: *The server logs the IP address and nickname of each user when they connect. **The server portscans these IP addresses to check for open proxies and also checks these IP addresses against various blacklists of known abusive IP addresses. *This information may be retained for a period of at least nine months to assist the operators in identifying ban evasion and/or other types of abusive behavior. *This information will never be shared with any entity outside the DVIRC staff. *The server hides the full real hostname and IP address of users via user mode +x (which is enabled by default). **Operators are required to see the real hostname and IP address of any user for use in setting server bans. *All passwords are encrypted and cannot be read by any operator or admin. PLEASE NOTE: These rules are subject to change without notice and the DVIRC staff retains the right to disconnect and/or ban any user for actions other than those explicitly specified under the rules.
