The whole preparing you for work thing doesn't work because:
1) Not all employers drug test. Even the ones who do, may only do it for preemployment and if you get injured.
2) You gotta pay money to go to college. Employers pay you.
If they are gonna drug test me then they better pay me to go there.

And this is scary because I go* to a university in Missouri. Missouris a really backwards state and my campus is a dry campus. Officially.

*Will go in the spring. Fucked up this semester.

Oh yes, Missouris alcohol laws are very lax. Plus Missouri law is written so in most cases, local law cannot be stronger than state law.

But it seems that colleges can do what they want. Although most college campuses nationwide do not permit alcohol. I did visit a university in Missouri that one of the residence halls did allow you to have alcohol in your room. Though only in your room. You had to be 21 or older to live in it. Im sure if your discrete I doubt think anyone would give a shit.

Don't think just because Missouri has common sense alcohol laws, everything is that way. We are very backwards in most cases.

Doesn't it cost a lot to drug test the ENTIRE student body? Money that could probably go towards much better resources aimed at the students excelling in their schoolwork...

This is college, they'll just tack on a $75 "Miscellaneous Technology Services Fee" to your bill.
